Following a recent appearance on The View, the actress took time backstage for a mommy confession, revealing that she gifted her son, “who’s kind of a worrier and hypochondriac,” with the book 100 Things That Will Kill You.

However, originally thinking the book was a great idea “because he worries about everything,” Patricia has been left to deal with the aftermath!

“I went to tuck him in one night after Christmas … and he had the book open on his lap and he was saying, ‘Mom, did you read about the Ebola virus?’” she explains. “And I realized, you know what, probably not a good idea to have gotten him that book.”

Episode Synopsis: THE MIDDLE “Christmas” Episode 10 – While Frankie focuses on rehearsing for a solo in her church’s midnight Christmas mass, Mike takes over handling the chores of setting up the Heck family Christmas. But Frankie becomes a bit jealous when it seems that Mike is doing a better job at organizing the holiday then she would have done. Meanwhile, Frankie and Mike try to help Brick overcome a problem in order to get into the holiday spirit, on “The Middle,” TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“The Middle” stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue, Atticus Shaffer as Brick and Chris Kattan as Bob.

Guest starring are J. Brock Ciarelli as Brad Bottig, Dierk Torsek as reverend, Donovan Scott as Santa, Charles Dougherty as choir director and Joseph Whipp as Mike’s boss.

“Christmas” was written by Roy Brown and directed by Reginald Hudlin.

“Eastwick” Jumps Week to Week by 17% in Viewers and by 18% in Adults 18-49

“The Middle” (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

Building on its lead-in at 8:30 p.m. (a “Modern Family” repeat) against holiday specials on NBC (“Christmas in Rockefeller Center”) and CBS (“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”) and an original “So You Think You Dance” on Fox, ABC’s “The Middle” was up week to week by 8% in Total Viewers (6.4 million vs. 5.9 million) and by 18% in Adults 18-49 (2.0/6 vs. 1.7/6). The ABC freshman comedy drew more overall viewers than Fox’s veteran “Dance” (6.2 million) and finished No. 2 in its half-hour with Adults 25-54 (2.6/6) and Men 18-49 (1.7/5).
